show Abstracthide AbstractThe Dog Genome Sequencing Consortium, led by the Broad Institute, sequenced the Canis lupus familiaris genome at 7.6x coverage using a whole genome shotgun (WGS) strategy and DNA derived from a female boxer. The breed was chosen following an analysis of 60 dog breeds that demonstrated that the boxer is one of the breeds with the least amount of variation in its genome. The WGS sequences have been deposited at GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ under the project accession AAEX01000000.
